Good:Blackboard

I must give blackboard.com a huge round of applause. Blackboard brings organization to the student and the teachers. I am able to access all of my class information just from a single website. Here is the thing, if you've ever had to deal with professors deciding to create their own website and you're in five different classes. Each website has a link to another website and another link to another website..and so on. That makes finding homework a task, and by the time you found the homework you have to take a snack break. Blackboard won Organization award from me. The actual blackboard.com website does not look appealing, it is rather confusing. The blackboard that my photo is taken from is the one connected to my school FAU account and that is the blackboard that gets my great ratings.

Good:Chegg

Another Favorite website is chegg.com . Okay here is the reason for placing chegg in the top two. Chegg allows you to:

  • purchases books used, new and ebooks
  • get tutoring (at any crazy hour for a cost)
  • homework answers to unlimited books
  • find jobs
That is four for the price of three (not everything on that website is free). But my point is you can get a lot of help and  all on one website. I like everything  to be neat and in place for me. With chegg website it instantly brings you to the pages below, the background changes. Both photos show same website different photo. I am not a fan of it, but it doesn't effect what I'm searching for. It displays  four of the most things that students can come to chegg to look for: Textbooks, homework, jobs. No need spend time search their website. The menu bar also have good titles. None of your study  time will be wasted on this website looking for titles.

Bad:Wikipedia

Home page for Wikipedia

Wikipedia apperance is rather clean and simple. That is not why I've chosen it to be a bad website. Wikipedia is simply not the place to go to write research papers. Wikipedia actually allows anyone that has access to a computer to publish, edit and add to it. This makes Wikipedia a bad choice for resources. It gives free, sometimes false information. I'm sure writing a 4-page essay about false information would do your grade some damage. Stay away from wikipedia! If you do use it, use it as if someone told you what something means but it's not a definite meaning. The upside to this website is below all of the articles are sources that the information comes from.
Search of College (note the article has "issues")

Good:YouTube

This website is great! If you are having trouble in any class there is a video on this website that can help you understand everything a whole lot more. YouTube is genius (not as genius as google, but close). The layout of youtube is simple, a caveman can find his way around.

I also like that you can post your own videos on youtube and share them with the world. I personally use youtube as my personal tutor and personal makeup teacher. Anything you ever want to know how to do, it can be found on youtube.

Okay, maybe I watch more beauty videos, but that's okay right?....it's a free world!

Bad: SNOOP SHMOOP

Homepage for Snoop Shmoop
The ads are located every where

Let's take a moment and give some LOL's (laugh out loud) to this page. My 6-year-old niece got really excited when I looked at this page, she wanted to play some games. I clicked the Dr.Sesus link thinking I might find some games. No games here. Just good information on various exams and test preps. Sadly it's all lost in the rainbow colors and random photos. Like a dog wearing Dr.Sesus hat .... isn't it suppose to be a cat? This page is no Bueno (no good) for the eyes but for information it seems worth reading. I still consider this as a bad site because it will take time to find what you might be looking for. But if you have time and your test isn't until a few months, I recommend digging through it.
